Laura has over 10 years’ experience as a Chartered Physiotherapist and Rehabilitation Specialist in both Private Practice and Elite Sport.
Laura uses both her Sport Science and Physiotherapy degree to offer a holistic approach to her client care. Current examples of the services she provides are providing Manual Therapy and Acupuncture for Musculoskeletal aches and pains, prescribing Weight Lifters with specialist Mobility and Stretch Programmes to improve poor posture and range of motion.
Laura also designs bespoke Rehabilitation Programmes for post-operative and post injury patients.
Examples Of Laura’s Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Clients
Client 1 – Post-Op Rehabilitation
Laura rehabilitates many clients following an operation. Laura is confident to follow a surgeon’s post-op protocol and then progress to end stage rehab as appropriate. Laura communicates effectively with consultants to ensure a safe and speedy recovery. The Fit Guru Gym & Physiotherapy Clinic can provide a great service for people recovering from an operation with both Hands-on manual treatment in the clinic rooms and structured rehab sessions in the gym.
Client 2 – Musculoskeletal Treatment
Laura helps many clients with general aches and pains or sporting injuries, she provides great variety in her treatments, offering manual therapy, ultrasound therapy, acupuncture, kinesiology taping, sports massage and myofascial cupping techniques.
Client 3 – ‘Back Fit’ Small Group Training
Laura provides a weekly ‘Back Fit’ Class, aimed at people with recurrent back pain, weak core, weak pelvic floors and people wanting to maintain body conditioning in later life. This is a rehab class structured into 20 mins of core work, 20 mins of toning and 20 mins of stretching.
Client 4 – Post-Natal 1-2-1 Sessions
Laura provides 1-2-1 sessions for post-natal women, this may be women just wanting to return to exercise in a safe and effective manner, or for women who require more specialist rehabilitation if they have suffered complications following pregnancy or labour.
